Kevin Capel: RGA Bucks Head Instructor
Kevin first started boxing in 1986 as a junior and later had regimental trials for 32 Regiment Royal Artillery. Shortly after leaving the army Kevin started martial arts in Aylesbury with Tae Kwon Do at a local club before moving on to train in Jeet Kune Do with Neil Mcleod who is considered to be one of the best Jeet Kune Do instructors in the U.K. with qualifications and experience that are rarely matched.
Under Neils guidance Kevin went on to study Judo at the Renrukan Judo Club in Aylesbury and Brazillian Jiu Jitsu with Mauricio Gomes and later his son Roger Gracie the Absolute Bjj World Champion and arguably the best grappler on the planet.
Kevin now holds a first dan Black belt under Roger and continues to train and compete for the Roger Gracie Academy in London, his most notable successes to date are 2014 Black Belt Masters European Champion and 2012 Black Belt Masters British Champion. Kevin has also competed in Judo and Pro Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) competitions. He holds a 1st Dan Black Belt in Judo and a black belt in Jeet Kune Do Under Neil Mcleod.
Stuart Healey: Instructor
Stuart began kickboxing in 2000 as a junior before progressing into Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in 2007 under the tutelage of UK MMA pioneer Danny Batten. In 2008, Stuart started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with Danny before joining up with Kevin Capel at RGA Bucks in 2009.
A frequent traveler, Stuart has made multiple trips to Brazil and the USA to experience the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu lifestyle and learn from some of the biggest names in BJJ such as Marcelo Garcia, John Danaher, Ryan Hall, Seph Smith, Ricardo Vieira, Ricardo De La Riva, Felipe Costa, Sergio Penha and many more.
Stuart holds the rank of Brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Kevin Capel and Roger Gracie. Stuart trains, teaches and competes under the RGA Bucks team.
Hayley Carter: Instructor
Hayley began training both kickboxing and MMA in 2009 at Total Dojo with Tony Davis and Danny Batten before beginning Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with with Kevin Capel at RGA Bucks in 2011.
On the mats Hayley is a frequent competitor where she has had success on the national circuit winning the British Open in 2016 while also having great success on the international stage winning the New York Open in 2016 and podium finishes at both the 2016 and 2017 European Championships at Blue and Purple belt.
Off the mats Hayley is a personal trainer where she helps people achieve their strength, fitness and lifestyle goals. Hayley also advises BJJ athletes on how to improve their performance through nutrition, strength and conditioning.
Hayley holds the rank of Purple belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Kevin Capel and Roger Gracie. Hayley trains, teaches and competes under the RGA Bucks team.
The RGA Bucks: Milton Keynes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu team are a member of the Roger Gracie Academy Buckinghamshire (RGA Bucks) association fronted by Roger Gracie black belt Kevin Capel who is based at the RGA Bucks HQ academy in Aylesbury.
The aim of the RGA Bucks association is to promote the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu lifestyle and excellent ground fighting skills, coupled with superior conditioning to deal with the rigours of sparring and competition througout Buckinghamshire and its surrounding counties.
RGA Bucks member academy students have the opportunity to attend training sessions, private seminars, events and gradings hosted at RGA Bucks HQ in Aylesbury that are exclusive to RGA Bucks members. RGA Bucks members also have the opportunity to train with 12x BJJ world champion Roger Gracie and attend events at the main Roger Gracie Academy school events in London.
RGA Bucks member students are all graded by RGA Bucks head instructor Kevin Capel alongside the approval of Roger Gracie or another RGA association black belt.
